TPT Group comprises of a Business Group and a Family Office.
Founded in 1999, TPT Group Holdings (NZ) Limited is a privately held investment company with a focus on the growth and development of a portfolio of entities in key business sectors. The group provides governance, strategy, systems and capital to allow the businesses to fulfil their market potential. The group consists of nine businesses, several leaders in their respective fields. The focus of the group is to create a great group of businesses and multiple of these are focussed on technology and future innovative products.

Our history of growing great businesses
We invest and grow businesses in the areas of technology, innovation, property and finance. Over the last 23 years we have founded ten new start-up businesses as well as acquired 14 others. We operate from 24 office locations across New Zealand.
We began with just our founders, Mike and Terese Marr, today we employ hundreds of staff across the country, the group continues to grow with people at the centre of what we do, we believe that great teams create great businesses.
Mike was born in Pukekohe and is a New Zealand entrepreneur, he and Terese are the owners of TPT Group.
He started off his career as a young electrical apprentice and holds qualifications in electrical trade, electrotechnology, an Advanced Dip. Business, Dip. Management, Dip. Integrated Risk Management and a Dip. Project Management.
In 2020, Mike was acknowledged as a Blake Leader Awardee. This prestigious award recognises inspirational New Zealanders whose leadership style has delivered high-impact results and contributed to a more sustainable future for Aotearoa.
2017, he was one of two Global recipients of the Beta Gamma Sigma Medallion of Entrepreneurship (the first recipient to be awarded the Global honour outside of the USA). The Medallion for Entrepreneurship is awarded to noteworthy Global businesspeople who combine innovative business achievement with service to humanity. In 2014, he was a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards for NZ.
Mike and his wife Terese founded The Runway Foundation in 2015, a registered NZ Charitable Trust providing support for families experiencing the challenge of ADHD but also to support the wider community. While Mike leads the TPT Group business side of things, Terese leads the not for profit side.
They are both strong believers in giving back to the community and support scholarships, several charities and community initiatives, including Lifewise, Community Food Banks and Crisis Funds.
For the last 10 years TPT Group has partnered with AUT University through two scholarships. These include the TPT Group Marketing Scholarship and the TPT Group Jump Start Scholarship.
TPT Group is also a long-term participant in the AUT University Shadow a Leader programme.

In 2022, we celebrated 20 years of Advanced Security and 25 years of IT Engine, several other Group businesses are also aging well with Cablenet in its third decade in business, ASG Technologies eight years, Technology Leasing 17 years, and Promessa Property Group 15 years.
A Celebration event was held in the Wintergarden Ballroom at the Civic Theatre in Auckland, attendees included long serving staff, management , directors, suppliers, and advisors. Kiwi icon Sir Dave Dobbyn and his band, as well as Cheap Sleeper, provided great entertainment.
